Skills and Competencies:
• 0-1 years of experience required.
• Familiarity with debt capital markets preferred (e.g., coursework and/or relevant work experience) with prior experience in reviewing financial/legal documentation.
• Willing to accept new challenges and demonstrate flexibility with last-minute changes in commitments and deadlines and has the ability to prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of MS programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Advanced Excel Skills a plus)
• Attention to details, solid verbal, written communication, and people skills necessary.
Education:
• Minimum undergraduate degree (e.g., bachelor’s degree)
Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with global regulatory controls (e.g., Dodd-Frank) and internal credit policy requirements throughout the ratings process.
• Review, analyze, and interpret critical provisions within deal documents such as Credit Agreements, Term Sheets, and Amendments.
• Monitor SEC filings and subsequent bank loan events; flag relevant developments for further review by rating analysts as needed.
• Develop a thorough understanding of Moody’s credit methodologies, issuer financial instruments, and related business practices.
• Gather and track all required documentation, news wires, and vendor updates, ensuring relevant market items are flagged promptly.
• Engage proactively with issuers and market participants to obtain a comprehensive view of the issuance portfolio.
• Efficiently research, escalate, and summarize discrepancies or issues in issuance for analyst review.
• Provide timely and professional resolution to inquiries from both internal and external clients, while continuously updating knowledge of financial instruments, policies, and methodologies.
About the Team:
As a Data Operations Specialist II on the Ratings Desk Services you will collaborate with various teams across Moody’s, monitor and analyze bank loan data at the initial and subsequent stage of the rating, conduct in-depth reviews of issuance/organizational documentation, identify market activity.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $51,100.00-$74,200.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
