RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
- Serve as a backup presenter for employee benefits orientations.
- Assist employees with benefits sign-up and enrollment processes.
- Follow up with employees who miss orientations or fail to complete benefits enrollment.
- Provide support during open enrollment by communicating with employees, sending reminders, and collecting forms.
- Prepare and distribute information for benefits orientations and send welcome emails to new employees.
- Audit benefits files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare benefits claim packets as needed.
- Create and maintain employee benefits files.
- Review monthly benefits bills, notating discrepancies and differences in premiums. Update employee profile in the Center’s HRIS to accurately reflect changes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by HR Leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Preferred Education
- A student working toward a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
- Previous experience in Human Resources, benefits administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and tools is a plus.

Physical Requirements
This position has the following special requirements:
- Walking and climbing (stairs) to/from buildings to access other departments.
- Sitting for long periods (4-6 hours) behind a desk.
- Pushing, carrying, and lifting items, equipment, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds to waist high.
- Sight, reading, wrist movements, and feeling to operate a computer terminal.
- Talking, and hearing to instruct employees and assist guests and service providers in person and over the telephone.
- This position interacts with employees and potential employees of the Rocket Center.

- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Environmental Factors
- This position involves working in a climate-controlled office environment.
Expected Hours of Work: 20 hours per week between Monday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Preferred dates of availability are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Weekend work, though rare, may occur depending on business needs.
