Overview:

The  HRIS Analyst will be responsible for analyzin large sets of data and creating reports to support business dedisions.The HRIS Analyst contributes to HRIS planning and administration in the areas of system analysis, consultation, system upgrades, troubleshooting, new system implementations and continuous improvements. The Analyst will provide hands-on support necessary to ensure the delivery of improved and integrated HRIS services. Additional responsibility includes serving as a liaison between Human Resources and Payroll to facilitate problem resolution, system changes, and interface enhancements as needed. 

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze large datasets using statistical methods to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and visualizations to support business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven insights and improvements.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Monitor data quality and perform data cleansing as needed.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in data analysis techniques and tools.
  • Responsible for the ongoing maintenance, and updates within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and other related systems.
  • Contributes to the development of HRIS strategy, policies and procedures.
  • Maintains position control, and requisition approval for new positions, backfilling, and modifications through iCIMS applicant tracking system.
  • Responsible for time clock maintenance.
  • Effectively incorporates new techniques into HRIS operations.
  • Focuses on continuous quality improvement.
  • Writes, maintains and supports a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools.
  • Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
  • Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Develops and automates reports for management and HR.
  • Develops instructions and training materials for mentoring less experienced employees.
  • Serves as internal “help-desk” resource for all HR staff in PC applications and mainframe systems.
  • Conducts job evaluations to determine appropriate title, salary range, salary, pay grade and FLSA status.
  • Makes recommendations for salary adjustments.
  • Audits weekly Union New Hire report and notifies HR of any errors and discrepancies.
  • Addresses compensation issues related to the interpretation of collective bargaining agreements and Hospital Center policies.
  • Researches and performs salary audits in response to employee inquiries and corrects any discrepancies.
  • Reviews employee rates to ensure timely processing of contractual increases (probation, job rate and step increases).
  • Prepares and submits spreadsheets to Payroll for retroactive payment.
  • Collects data and creates spreadsheets and reports for special projects.
  • Responds to employee questions and explains compensation policy and procedures.
  • Responds to requests for job descriptions and provides assistance in writing and updating current job descriptions within iCIMS applicant tracking system.
  • Participates in written and on site compensation surveys conducted by government agencies and other organizations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics or computer science, Analytics or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Proficiency of HRIS system
  • Minimum one (1) year prior experience.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Prior healthcare experience is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong technical and working knowledge of HRIS applications, theory and practice.
  • Working knowledge of key HR functions: Employment, Benefits, Compensation, Employee Relations, Training and Development and Payroll.
  • Strong proficiency with Office PC's, Desktops, and Laptop software in addition to familiarity with Microsoft Office softwares to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Good interpersonal skills a must.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Position may require prolonged periods of standing, walking, talking, sitting, hearing, and bending throughout the work day. 
  • May include some repetitive motions.
