Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Posting position vacancies to appropriate mediums to generate qualified employment candidates.
  • Networking and attending professional events to market Casino employment opportunities.
  • Reviewing employment applications/resumes, prescreening candidates for employment and processing employment candidates.
  • Understand and navigate through SASCH ADP recruitment
  • Works closely with managers in scheduling interviews.
  • Development and maintenance of employment kiosks.
  • Assists with Generalist responsibilities, as needed.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
  • Recruits’ applicants by attending college/job fairs at schools and businesses and by networking with community workforce resources to advance the SASCH as a prospective employer within the community.
  • Conference with senior leadership to identify personnel needs.
  • Coordinates the recruitment process and responds to employment questions from employees and applicants.
  • Develops and maintains a network of contacts, online recruiting resources and in-house ADP to identify, source and recruit the very best candidates.
  • Reviews resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements.
  • Provides complete, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about the company and position.
  • Refers selected applicants to hiring department manager/director for interview process aligned with ADP.
  • Consults with all hiring-manager/departments to develop a thorough understanding of the department culture and use that understanding to help candidates fully understand the opportunity.
  • Distributes conditional offers of employment.
  • Facilitates new hire paperwork process and schedules pre-employment drug testing.
  • Extends offers of employment to selected candidates under the direction of the hiring managers and within the guidelines of the SASCH policy and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining Recruiter’s logs and reports.
  • Assists with employee development training activities and new employee orientations as required.
  • Develops an effective pipeline of key talent potentially available for immediate hire as succession planning needs dictate.
  • Maintains staffing requisition files on ADP to ensure compliance with recruitment and selection policy.
  • Performs detailed reference checking and/or reference analysis on selected candidates and reviews results with hiring managers.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.
  • BBA with preference in human resources or certification in Human Resource Management. Will substitute experience on a year for year basis.
  • PHR preferred.
  • Three years’ practical human resource experience including two years as a recruiter.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Must have advanced computer capabilities.
  • Must have knowledge of spreadsheet software and word processing software with use of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access and ADP preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of HRIS software systems required with use of ADP software preferred.
  • A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required. If a smartphone is not provided by the company, a candidate or employee may be provided with a smartphone of the company’s choice, through a payroll deduction program.
  • All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission key gaming license.
