The Senior Program Lead – IT & Operations Project Oversight plays a critical cross-functional role in monitoring, supporting, and advancing the delivery of key technology and operational initiatives across the enterprise.
Operating without direct reports, this senior individual contributor works alongside IT leadership, operational departments, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
The role includes oversight of multiple concurrent projects, hands-on support for high-risk or troubled efforts, and continuous refinement of project management practices.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
Pay: $120,000-$140,000/year, dependent on experience

Duties
- Monitor IT and operational project portfolios for progress against scope, timeline, and quality objectives
- Identify and assess project health indicators; provide risk assessments and actionable recovery strategies.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise goals, compliance standards, and IT governance policies.
- Step in as a project lead for troubled or strategically important initiatives as needed.
- Re-baseline projects in distress; facilitate resource realignment and stakeholder re-engagement.
- Partner with technical leads, business stakeholders, and external vendors to drive resolution of blockers.
- Coordinate across IT, cybersecurity, data teams, and operations to manage project interdependencies.
- Facilitate information flow and accountability across departments with differing priorities and languages.
- Contribute to portfolio-level views of progress, capacity, and prioritization for leadership visibility.
- Promote use of consistent project management frameworks, tools, and documentation standards.
- Act as a coach and mentor to less experienced project owners or department-level initiative leads.
- Assist in developing and maintaining project templates (e.g., project charters, status reports).
- Identify systemic delivery issues and propose improvements to intake, planning, execution, and reporting processes.
- Contribute to enterprise project governance committees or working groups.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in project or program management, including IT systems implementation or operational transformation iniatives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects without direct authority.
- Deep understanding of Business Process Documentation / Reengineering
- Deep understanding of project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
- Familiarity with non-profit organizations
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in risk assessment and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with IT project domains such as infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, cybersecurity enhancements, or ERP/CRM implementations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
