UGL Industrials & Resources have an opportunity for a dynamic Proposal Manager, based in the South Bank Office in Brisbane.  

 

As a key member of the Pre Contracts and Bid team, your role will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end process of preparing high-quality tender and proposal submissions for allocated projects and Contract renewals. This includes coordinating all aspects of submission preparation, ensuring alignment with client requirements, and effectively managing the transition from proposal submission to contract award. 

A key focus of this role is to implement strategic measures and collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance the company’s competitive position and maximize the likelihood of securing contracts while supporting the successful execution of awarded projects.    

 

About You 

You will work collaboratively with the site-based project team/s, off-site support-based functions and where appropriate our clients, ideally you will have: 

  • Successful track record in winning complex bids. 

  • 5+ years of experience in proposals, tenders, contracts management, or business development. 

  • Previous experience in managing tender submissions in a relevant industry. 

  • Understanding of commercial, contractual, financial and legal issues. 

  • Knowledge of the Industrial and Resources sector. 

  • Advanced knowledge of Tendering and bid management. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication for proposal writing and presentations. 

  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills. 

  • Ability to drive bid strategy incorporating – partnering, client engagement, delivery/commercial solutions. 

  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands. 

  • Familiarity with proposal and content management tools (e.g., MS Word, Adobe InDesign, Visio, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, Outlook, etc). 

  • Proficiency in other tools and CRMs (e.g., SAP, Ai Chat, Salesforce, etc)
