Position Summary:
The Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP) is an early-career rotational program designed to build strong, well-rounded finance professionals. The ADM Finance team plays a key role in the success of the business, providing management and stakeholders with high-quality, accurate, and timely financial information and analysis for both business support and development and external reporting requirements. To deliver a world class service to the business, ADM seeks high caliber team players able to gain the depth and breadth of skills across different cultures in a progressive training program designed to equip you with the skills and experience required to become a first-class Finance professional.


Through a combination of hands-on experience, structured rotations, mentorship, and training, the program accelerates your growth and prepares you for high-impact finance roles at ADM.

The program spans 18–24 months and provides broad exposure across multiple areas of Finance in North America. Participants will develop an end-to-end finance mindset, strengthen technical and leadership skills, and expand career opportunities through curated experiences and networking.

Program Structure
  • Rotations: 3–4 rotations across different finance functions (18–24 months total)
  • Location: Decatur, IL
  • Training: Combination of on-the-job learning, internal and external training, and mentorship from finance leaders
  • Final Placement: Full-time finance role beginning at ~18 months, aligned with business needs, skills, and interests

  • Credit Analyst
  • Risk & Controls Analyst
  • Roles within Corporate Finance, Business Unit Finance, Treasury, Tax, Investor Relations, or GBS

Responsibilities:
As an FLDP Trainee, you will:
  • Gain exposure across multiple Finance functions, such as Audit, FP&A, Risk & Controls, Treasury, Investor Relations, Mergers & Acquisitions, Tax, and Record-to-Report Transformation.
  • Build an end-to-end finance mindset with curated project and business experiences.
  • Develop a trusted professional network of finance colleagues and mentors.
  • Strengthen both technical expertise and leadership capabilities desired by ADM business leaders.
  • Expand long-term career opportunities with accelerated development and visibility.
Required Skills:
  • Interest in building a career in Finance with both analytical and strategic responsibilities
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to thrive in a rotational, fast-paced environment
  • Strong interest to learn all aspects of Finance, Accounting, and Tax
  • Demonstrated capacity to handle a diverse number of projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written, time-management, detail-oriented, and organization skills
  • Ability to function effectively, both independently and with a team, as well as the ability to collaborate within various levels of an organization
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Skills (Excel data tables, pivots, lookups, Access, PowerPoint, etc.) and interests in diverse Information Technology
Qualifications & Attributes
  • Education: Pursuing a 4-year degree in Finance, Economics, Business or other related discipline with a genuine interest for the agriculture and food industry.  
  • Relocation: Willingness to relocate to Decatur, IL as part of the program. 
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills. 
  • GPA: Minimum GPA of 2.8 
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely and successful perform the essential job functions consistent with qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Standard office safety regulations

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$57,700.00 - $105,800.00
