Are you an experienced digital salesperson that is passionate about digital media and helping industry leaders thrive in the digital economy? The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) is seeking a resourceful and magnetic Senior Director of Member Engagement & Development for Agencies. In this exciting role, you will work closely with the entire digital media and marketing ecosystem, focusing on building relationships and generating revenue via membership to media and creative agencies. You’ll play an integral role in growing IAB’s agency membership and helping them engage across IAB’s work product to drive the industry agenda.
What You'll Do
As the Senior Director of Member Engagement & Development for Agencies, you'll:
- Develop and execute an agency outreach strategy to drive membership and engagement, including prospecting potential new members, meeting with prospects and helping them navigate the myriad of IAB work.
- Drive revenue by securing new agency members.
- Manage a portfolio of current and prospective agency members, developing strategic relationships to drive revenue and engagement growth.
- Manage all aspects of membership sales, including maintaining a pipeline and executing a sales strategy.
- Lead member engagement initiatives by building deep, multi-faceted relationships with your agency members, facilitating their involvement beyond just revenue goals, such as public policy, Professional Development, and COE activity.
- Promote and sell IAB sponsorship opportunities, training, and certification programs to drive revenue.
- Partner with and collaborate with the IAB Events team to ensure integrated member experiences.
- Interface with IAB members, partners, and industry leaders to gain market intelligence and inform marketing and communications strategies.
- Conduct sales calls, successfully converting prospects into IAB members, and leading the onboarding process for new members.
- Oversee the CRM membership database, ensuring data integrity and tracking member engagement metrics.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and member movements via industry trades, committees, and conferences, following trends and opportunities.
- Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to enhance overall team performance.
Who You Are:
- You are a digital seller and creative thinker and storyteller, skilled at engaging members with innovative approaches.
- You have collaborated with mid-and-small tier agencies across multiple markets.
- You have 10+ years of experience in digital sales, account management, and member engagement.
- You have experience working cross-functionally with teams and can engage at all levels of a member company's executive suite.
- You are comfortable presenting to large audiences and love educating and speaking in public.
- You have experience selling revenue-driving packages across multiple offerings.
- You can articulate the value of products and services effectively to diverse audiences.
- You have a deep understanding of the digital media landscape and knowledge of the advertising technology, publishing, and social media sectors.
- You are highly skilled in project management, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a proactive approach to work.
- You are a proficient communicator with excellent written, oral, and presentation skills, and are highly proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems (Salesforce), and video conferencing platforms.
