We serve tens of thousands of people each year in seven ministries: Marisol Services, Early Childhood Education, Shelter Services, Catholic Charities Housing, St. Raphael Counseling, Family, Kinship, and Senior Services; and Parish & Community Engagement.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
A Coordinator, Volunteer at Catholic Charities:
- Collaborate with Program Managers to identify and address gaps in programming as outlined on the WES Programming Menu.
- Recruit and foster relationships with volunteers possessing special skills to adequately support program offerings.
- Manage inventory and organization of supplies required for seamless program execution.
- Complete a Programming Preparation Log (run of day) for each program offering.
- Maintain accurate data reflecting program engagement for monthly reporting to the Program Manager.
- Follow the budget set by the Associate Director and/or Director and contribute to the budgeting process, as relevant to the role.
- Maintain accurate and timely program statistical data for reporting purposes.
- Complete necessary administrative duties, including paperwork and entering of volunteer events and hours within assigned databases, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Develop volunteer job descriptions, task lists, schedules, and activities.
- Maintain ongoing communication with special skill facilitators to ensure continuous service provision.
- Develop and implement volunteer recognition and retention events and activities in collaboration with internal personnel.
- Uphold and promote Catholic Charities’ vision, mission, values, and Code of Ethics.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in computer skills, including the use of essential software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and databases for data entry, report generation, and the creation of communications and presentations.
- Demonstrated expertise in proactively planning and organizing events, showcasing a strong ability to adapt, interpret, and apply written guidelines, precedents, and standardized work practices to a variety of unprecedented or challenging situations.
- Prior experience in delivering structured, in-person training is highly preferred, emphasizing a commitment to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Capable of delivering content in an enthusiastic, engaging, and easily understandable manner, ensuring effective communication and knowledge transfer.
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently make presentations in front of groups.
- Maintains organizational excellence, demonstrating attention to detail and thoroughness in recordkeeping and documentation requirements.
- Acquires knowledge of trauma-informed techniques and practices suitable for the client population, demonstrating a compassionate and understanding approach.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration as a team member and independently interacting with Agency staff and a diverse client base.
- Adaptable to a flexible and changing schedule, showcasing a commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the organization and its stakeholders.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from accredited four-year college or university in a related field or two years related Human Services/Event Planning experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid CO driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and proof of insurance required.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
$21.00-$23.00/hour
