LRS Architects is seeking a full-time visionary and experienced strategist to serve alongside our leadership team as our Marketing & Business Development Director. This is a strategic role for a professional who thrives on planning, building relationships, shaping brand vision, and driving firm-wide growth. You’ll collaborate closely with Principals and studio leaders to guide business development and marketing initiatives while mentoring a talented team of marketing professionals.

Requirements

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Lead the execution of LRS’s marketing vision and business development strategy in partnership with Principals
  • Direct, manage, and mentor the marketing team, fostering professional growth and ensuring high-quality outcomes
  • Analyze markets and identify emerging opportunities
  • Co-develop and oversee implementation of annual marketing and business development plans
  • Drive business development efforts through relationship building, networking, and community and industry engagement
  • Oversee and manage procurement, communications, public relations, award submittals, and project photography
  • Facilitate and present at internal marketing meetings and participate in the annual strategic planning retreat
  • Track marketing budgets across studios and provide regular reporting on activities and results.
  • Direct and oversee specialized consultants, including third-party proposal coordinators, advertising, PR, graphic design, and professional photography partners.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • A well-rounded knowledge of the AEC Industry (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction)
  • A collaborative leadership style that inspires, motivates, and builds trust across all levels of the firm
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to align marketing and business development efforts with firmwide goals
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and visual), capable of engaging Principals, staff, clients, and external partners
  • A professional presence that strengthens long-term relationships inside and outside the firm.
  • Strong organizational and delegation skills, with the ability to prioritize and oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE VALUE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 10+ years of marketing and business development experience within the A/E/C industry
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing fundamentals, strategic planning, and business development practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (CMS, CRM, and DAM experience preferred)
  • Advanced writing and presentation skills
  • Experience managing budgets and aligning marketing with broader business goals.
