This is an office-based role. 4 days working in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday)

About the role: 

The core contribution of this role is to support social media and digital teams across the region to deliver and execute effective social media campaigns and strategies – with the goal of delivering best-in-class social presence across 32 EMEA markets.  

This role works closely with all lines of business, identifying areas for collaboration and synchronisation, working with agencies to create assets that support key initiatives and translating strategies into fully-fledged social media campaigns that deliver against business objectives. This also involves working with the brand & franchise management team (BFM) to ensure content is on brand, as well as setting benchmarks and KPIs to demonstrate ROI and value to TWDC.  

The Social Media Supervisor is responsible for five core areas, supporting social leads in EMEA markets; acting as social lead and advisor for cross-company brand & franchise campaigns; working closely with the Senior Manager, Influencers & Production to manage influencers across lines of business; day-to-day liaison with social media & CMS platforms, including supporting the InfoSec team with social media security across the region and sharing evergreen social media assets for localisation. 

In addition to social media responsibilities, this role will also play a key part in implementing the TWDC Influencer Guidelines, working with UK lines of business and EMEA leads to share best practice and advise on influencer campaigns and activity, including responsibility for maintaining the Influencer database. 

This role requires a comprehensive working knowledge of all major social networking platforms (including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X & Snapchat) as well as experience and familiarity in using both native and third-party CMSs for posting and reporting purposes. 

The Social Media Supervisor, EMEA will be required to have a good understanding of social media best practices to enable them to support with content uploads across TWDC social platforms, as well as monitoring and assessing performance and distributing results and ensuring all UK LOBs and EMEA markets are aware of and adhere to the Social Media guidelines provided by the Cross Company Social Media team.  

The ability to build relationships and confidence with a variety of stakeholders at all levels is a distinct advantage as this role will involve working closely with teams spanning all UK LOBs and EMEA markets to influence and advise on social media strategy to ensure campaigns are fully executed to TWDC standards. This includes being able to explain how the social strategy will deliver against business objectives, setting and explaining KPIs and performance benchmarks and sharing insights and learnings curated to LOB requirements. 

The Social Media Supervisor role is a key support function for the Cross Company Social Media Team – working closely with the Global Social Media Team to understand and filter key initiatives to UK & EMEA teams whilst also communicating EMEA driven initiatives to social teams across 32 EMEA markets. The ability to clearly explain strategies and understand local requirements is key to this role, this involves understanding local requirements and nuances to ensure relevance, identifying any cultural sensitivities and seeking advice for any potential brand, legal and/or compliance restrictions. These include but are not limited to, assisting with the coordination of Influencer activity, competitions, content containing minors and ensuring there is a diverse and inclusive representation in TWDC content. 

What will you do:

  • Successful delivery of social media & influencer marketing campaigns to meet objectives  
  • Upholding best practice for all aspects of social media marketing – ensuring these are rolled out and implemented across the whole business 
  • Supporting all aspects of social media channel operations in EMEA – point person for operational queries and platform escalations 
  • Supporting Disney’s integrated influencer approach, helping with projects which drive synergy across the business  

EMEA Social Operations, UK/EMEA 

Uphold best in practice social marketing standards and ensuring they are applied and implemented across the EMEA region – stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, innovations and guidance 

  • Support on rollout of EMEA Social Media & Influencer playbooks and guidelines - working hand-in-hand with internal teams such as Legal, Procurement, Music, Compliance and the Analytics team 
  • Support with cross-channel reporting in EMEA using insights tools, identify trends and problem areas – providing suggestions for improvement 
  • Support with new social media account and platform launches, working to share “test and learns” with teams and markets   
  • Support on major influencer projects, and independently manage mid-size influencer campaigns - identifying targets, handling outreach and overseeing campaigns from briefing, contracting through to reporting  
  • Support markets with new channel set-ups: vetting their rationale, strategy and maintenance plan to ensure a successful launch 
  • Support markets and working hand in hand with the InfoSec team to ensure all social media accounts have strong security measures, including but not limited to ensuring 2FA is enabled, all passwords are strong and user access requests are completed regularly  
  • Work with platform partners to troubleshoot issues and implement verifications, page set-ups and merges 
  • Support teams across the business by sharing an integrated influencer approach – help to streamline influencer vetting operations, payment and measurement / KPI setting  
  • Update business leads and EMEA markets on latest innovation, product, and marketing developments 
  • Responsibility for Social Media tools such as 1Password (social media security tool) and Emplifi (upload and measurement tool) – implementing smooth onboarding of markets and escalating/troubleshooting issues with the platforms 
  • Work with the Social Media Director to feed into and share performance reports for distribution to regional and local stakeholders on all cross-company projects and initiatives. 
  • Potential to manage the day-to-day task list of the Social Insights intern 

Social Media Implementation, UK/EMEA 

  • Support cross-company social media initiatives, working on Integrated projects/digital events (e.g. Christmas, Summer, Princess Week etc) – assisting with strategy and implementation of Social Media campaigns – this includes including copywriting, creative briefs, influencer briefs, approvals, asset sharing, posting/scheduling and reporting  
  • Manage the creation/sourcing of relevant social marketing content – this includes briefing creatives (agencies / designers / content creators) to deliver idea pitches through to final assets for our digital campaigns 
  • Work hand-in-hand with the paid social team and media agencies to implement media campaigns across owned social media channels, advising on spend levels and optimizing for best results and reporting  
  • Monitor and report on the performance of digital content and campaigns you implement, providing insights, context and recommendations to optimise further content planning and creation to achieve KPIs 
  • Present and report back to senior stakeholder on projects, innovations and new opportunities 

The Supervisor, Social Media, EMEA needs to work with the Director, Social Media, UK & EMEA to ensure all campaigns come in within approved budget, is delivered on time, and all POs are issued and invoices are processed within billing cycle requirements.
