EMT, Paramedic, or LVN

Medcor is looking to hire a full-time EMT, Paramedic, or LVN to be a Onsite Health Technician in our employer based, occupational health clinic in Woodland, CA. The Onsite Health & Wellness Technician plays a critical role in delivering Medcor�s Workplace Health Management services by performing onsite injury and illness evaluation and treatment at assigned client worksite. The role serves as a resource, point of contact and liaison for the administration and continuous improvement of health and wellness programs for our valued customers

The hours for this position are:

Sunday & Monday: 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.

Tuesday - Thursday: 3:00 P.M. - 11:00 P.M.

Pay Rate: $27/hr. - $29 with the potential for increased compensation based on experience and licensure.

Sign-On Bonus of $1500!

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and provide work related injury/illness assessment and treatment within license scope of practice and according to standard operating procedures and protocols.
  • Exercise proper medical triage in evaluating severity, treatment, disposition, referral, and transportation.
  • Attend scheduled and periodic meetings, training and other job-related events as required by PAS.
  • Collaborate and work with cross-functional partners, including onsite client department managers, human resources, environmental health & safety, and security to ensure the integration and coordination of services are consistent with standardized operations, Medcor patient care guidelines and client policies and procedures.
  • Apply knowledge of clinical occupational health as well as knowledge of regulations impacting the work environment (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA). Stay current with healthcare industry regulations and standards to ensure the organization remains in compliance.


Required Job Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience in current field as either an EMT, Paramedic or LVN
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Valid License or Certification as EMT, Paramedic or LPN

Desired Job Qualifications:

  • CPR, PALS, ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
  • Previous experience in an occupational healthcare environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other database applications).
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to independently prioritize and ensure completion of scheduled duties without compromising quality.
  • Strong ability to build collaborative and effective relationships across all levels.
  • Strong communications skills both verbal and written as well as strong critical thinking skills; problem solving and decision making.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • The work environment is characteristic of an onsite occupational clinic. Noise conditions vary depending on facility from moderate noise to noisy condition.
  • You are able to walk long distances throughout the facility for up to 1 hour.
  • Ability to carry a 50 lb. medical bag
  • May require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to be worn to minimize exposure to hazards that may cause serious workplace injuries and illnesses, which may include items such as gloves, safety glasses and shoes, earplugs or muffs and hard hats.
