The Part-Time Development Assistant will play a crucial administrative role in supporting the Director of Community Support and Engagement. This position is integral to maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our fundraising and community engagement efforts. This role will work from our Cornerstone Family Ministries location with 20 hours per week on average; Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Provide administrative and Event support for the following annual events:
    • 45th Annual Wonder Walk (Mid-January - Mid-May)
    • 11th Annual Child's Chance for Change Top Golf Challenge (mid-September- early November)
    • Holiday Campaign (early November-mid-December)
  2. Provide administrative support to the Director of Community Support and Engagement to support our fundraising efforts that make our continued efforts to support our Mission possible.
    • Maintain Outlook Calendar including all meetings, events, activities, deadlines and deliverables for Development efforts.
    • Meeting minutes for the Cornerstone Board Development Committee.
    • Maintain and update donor information in the CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and completeness and pull accurate reporting for mailings and other communications.
    • Work with the CFM Office Manager to keep track of important Development Department documents such as photo releases, liability waivers and fingerprinting ensuring everything is well-organized and easily accessible.
    • Catalogue photos and photo releases for clients to be used in materials, mailings, public presentations, newsletters and social media in the CFM common electronic file folders.  
    • Maintain in-kind donation and volunteer reporting in Bloomerang and send monthly reporting to the Director of Community Support and Engagement and the CFM Office Manager by the 5th business day of each month.  
    • Assist the Director of Community Support and Engagement in the creation and distribution of a quarterly volunteer and donor e-newsletter and monthly Development Team highlights for the Executive Director and Board.
    • Order supplies, as necessary, to support Development team activities to include fundraising events, tours, grants, and day to day activities.
  1. Assist in the preparation for successful tabling events, site-visits, tours, fundraising events and other initiatives related to Development activities (MCTs and other site-visits):
    • During work hours at home location, greet donors and volunteers at on-site events with hospitality and serve as a reflection of the mission, vision and guiding values of the organization and coordinate.
    • Help organize and conduct tours for visitors and potential donors to include internal communication with administrative, program and facilities team members through email, work orders, outlook meeting and task notices, and face-to-face coordination.
    • Keep Community Engagement “display kit” and information packets for donors visiting campus updated, stocked and ready. 
  1. Serve as an ambassador of Cornerstone’s mission, vision and guiding values in word, behavior and professional practice.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities for direct reports.


QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma; Previous administrative experience (preferably in a non-profit or fundraising environment).

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

None required.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Accurate and timely handling of information
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Previous administrative experience, preferably in a non-profit or fundraising environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to maintain a stationary position over 50% of the time; constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer printer, phone; frequently communicate with others where one must be able to exchange in dialog and communicate accurate information. Must be able to detect and utilize information presented verbally, on computer screens and/or printed documents. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move their computer equipment (up to 10 pounds).

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
