- Set up tours and shadows for families new to the district or considering a move, connecting them with counselors for additional questions
- Coordinate with Central Office regarding residency waivers, affidavits, leases
- Facilitate initial set up of digital accounts (Parent Portal, lunch accounts, etc.) and provide support for technical issues
- Maintain accurate student employee records/percentages in student/staff information portal and make census data updates as needed
- Oversee adequate grade reporting - Create and communicate the annual grading timeline according to academic calendar, assist teachers with gradebook issues, monitor discrepancies, and print/mail report cards

JOB/POSITION SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant/Building Teacher Assistant is a hybrid role designed to support both the front office and student supervision needs of Mark Twain Elementary each day. This position serves as the first point of contact for families and visitors while managing phones and door entry. Additionally, the role provides coverage during lunch, recess, dismissal, and in classrooms when teachers require support. The position is structured to flex between office coverage and student-facing duties based on the needs of the building, while maintaining office operations as the primary anchor.
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
EMPLOYMENT TERMS: This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), working August through May. The position is classified under the Support Staff Hourly Salary Schedule, Grade S-III, with a starting range of $16.48 to $26.05 per hour, depending on experience and education. Employment is at-will and subject to annual evaluation in accordance with this job description. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
