We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to oversee and grow accounts and broker partnerships across the Midwest and West Coast territories. This role represents our brand to both seasonal and everyday customers. The ideal candidate will be a strong relationship builder and strategic thinker who thrives on driving profitable growth while delivering exceptional customer service.
Regional Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage and support assigned regional brokers by educating them on the Palmer brand, sales priorities, and promotional strategies.
- Develop and execute sales initiatives that drive profitable growth across accounts, balancing existing business with new opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers and decision-makers to expand Palmer’s presence and sales.
- Execute company sales plans within the assigned territory while ensuring alignment with broader national strategies.
- Conduct broker performance reviews to ensure effective brand representation and alignment with company objectives.
- Monitor and resolve unauthorized deductions, pricing discrepancies, and account-related issues promptly.
- Leverage syndicated data to support seasonal presentations, territory reviews, and growth recommendations.
- Represent R.M. Palmer at regional/national trade shows, customer meetings, and broker events.
- Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to visit brokers, accounts, and retail locations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of successful outside sales experience, preferably within candy, snack, food, or other CPG industries.
- Demonstrated success managing broker relationships and regional accounts with a proven track record of sales growth.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word); comfortable using syndicated data.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the territory, including overnight travel.
