The Organization

Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) is a non-profit agency under contract to the State of California and for 50 years has provided the coordination of services to individuals with developmental disabilities. ACRC employs approximately 800+ individuals working out of eight offices in a ten-county area. ACRC is one of 21 Regional Centers in California.


COMPENSATION


The below is dependent upon experience and education.

  • $31.50 - $36.45/hr.

The actual amount offered within this range will depend on a variety of factors including skills and abilities, education, experience, and other relevant job-related factors. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.


Job Requirements and Qualifications

The purpose of Alta California Regional Center’s (ACRC) Training Specialist – Internship Coordinator position is to design, develop, and deliver internship programs for ACRC. Specifically, this role: Develops and maintains affiliation agreements with partnering universities. Represents ACRC at field fairs to recruit prospective interns. Coordinates interviews of prospective interns. Coordinates placement/assignment of accepted interns. Completes onboarding for new interns including any individual training needs. Develops intern learning agreements. Conducts weekly 1-hour face to face 1:1 meetings with interns. Liaising with Task Supervisors (CSMs) and other ACRC staff. Completes all university required reporting including time logs, mid-term and final evaluations. Supports interns through demonstration and training of all case management functions. Supports outreach events and other skill development activities.

Requirements

Applicants must possess a Master’s degree in Social Work and have 2 years of post MSW experience . Strong working knowledge of standard office equipment and instruments (e.g. computer, scanner, fax machine, business communication systems). Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong communications skills, demonstrated ability to collaborate well with others and maintain a positive, Client-oriented approach. Strong writing skills. Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing circumstances and needs. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing demands and tasks.
