The position is offered for an initial two-year appointment, with potential for renewal for a second two-year appointment and subsequent three-year appointments based on performance.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3EPosition Summary:%3C/strong%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn this clinical specialist faculty role, there will be a need to develop, implement, teach and assess courses and supporting laboratories specific to exercise physiology, nutrition %26amp;amp; metabolism, movement-based data analytics and, potentially, microbiology content for undergraduate students. With the possibility of fulfilling other KHS teaching responsibilities across the curriculum depending on departmental need and professional expertise. Provision of high-quality instruction presented in didactic and laboratory sessions within the context of the kinesiology and health sciences curriculum is expected. Clinical specialist faculty are expected to teach 24-faculty weighted hours per academic year, equating to 4 units (4 courses) per semester, demonstrate innovation and excellence in the classroom while facilitating student mastery of core learning outcomes.
