Ensures the timely and efficient delivery of models across their entire lifecycle through effective project coordination, stakeholder communication, and adherence to internal and regulatory deadlines. Acts as a central point of contact for cross-functional coordination across lines of business, model risk management (MRM), internal audit stakeholders, and regulators.
Essential Job Functions:- Develops and maintains detailed project plans for model development and monitoring activities across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Implements project controls and standards to drive consistency and efficiency in model development project management and reporting.
- Coordinates with model developers, business partners, risk management, and internal audit to ensure timely progress and accountability.
- Facilitates meetings between business units, business leaders, and stakeholders to gather model requirements, defines timelines, and tracks status updates.
- Provides high-level review of projects to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and work is performed according to established service-level agreements.
- Monitors key project milestones, ensures alignment with internal model governance standards and communicates and escalates risks or delays as needed.
- Tracks and manages deliverables for ongoing model monitoring, documentation updates, and internal review cycles.
- Supports audit and review processes by organizing timely responses and facilitating access to required documentation.
- Communicates regularly with stakeholders and leadership to provide project updates, remove blockers, and manage expectations.

- Knowledge of bank operations, regulatory compliance standards, and project management practices.
- Knowledge of credit risk, capital, or forecasting models and model risk management principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and business stakeholders and build cross‐functional relationships.
- Ability to utilize discretion and sound judgment in decision-making.
- Ability to demonstrate effective organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
- Ability to demonstrate strong and effective customer service skills, including facilitation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, and independently drive tasks to completion while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to produce high quality project documentation, presentations, and analyses.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, MS Project) and collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence).
- Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Risk Management, Business, or related field required.
- 4 years of experience in project or program management, required. Experience in model development, risk, or other relevant areas in a financial services organization preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification preferred.
- Experience working in a regulated banking environment with exposure to model governance frameworks (e.g., SR 11-7, OCC 2011-12), preferred.
- Experience supporting teams responsible for model development, model governance or model risk management, preferred.
