WHAT YOU GET TO DO
The primary function of the DFT Engagement Manager is to support and business focus the KNAPP USA organization in selling, planning, rolling out, commissioning and post-sales activities (Maintenance) of DFT technologies in North America. DFT’s headquarter is located in Bielefeld, Germany. Considering time zone difference between US and Germany, language barrier and cultural specifics a local DFT Engagement Manager is required to drive DFT business development and successful project execution. Managing and improving general collaboration and specific communication channels between KNAPP USA and DFT in the above-mentioned areas is part of the scope of responsibilities of the DFT Engagement Manager. The DFT Engagement Manager is also responsible for assisting in market analysis and working with sales leadership to develop winning sales strategies for DFT solutions in North America.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute trainings concerning DFT solutions for sales, project management, mechanical final engineering, electrical final engineering, PLC commissioning and service support & Maintenance teams at KNAPP USA.
- Support local sales teams in US and Canada sales opportunities with DFT solution involvement
- Work with local sales teams and sales leadership to create sales opportunities in new customer segments such as Pharmaceutical wholesales, pharmacies, industry customers, Automotive, Retail, etc.
- Work with KNAPP USA marketing to drive awareness campaigns for the north American markets based on targeted customer segments (as listed before)
- Negotiate and mitigate business requirements and support requests between KNAPP USA organization and DFT Germany in both directions
- Research assigned markets to identify potential customers and opportunities
- Understand the potential customer needs in regards DFT sequencing and sorting products and articulating these requirements to DFT’s R&D.
- Coordinate and lead “kick-off” meetings to transfer sold projects to the project implementation team
WHAT YOU HAVE
- Master’s degree in science. Industrial engineering, Technical Engineering or Logistics
- 3-5 years of experience in Engineering and material flow relevant positions, Intralogistics preferred
- Knowledge/proficiency of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office suite and CRM technology
- Ability to think creatively, plan, organize, set goals, and execute strategically
- Detail-oriented with ability of electro-mechanical and technical understanding
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong relationship building, interpersonal, and internal/external networking skills
- Entrepreneurial self-starter with hands-on approach
Working Conditions and Environment:
- Overtime, if required by work
- Authorization to work in the U.S
- 25% domestic/international travel, required
- Current driver’s license and passport
