New Construction Home Builder Houston, TX | Tricoast Homes
Job Description
Tricoast Homes is seeking a Construction Manager III to oversee and drive the homebuilding process from start to finish in the Dayton area. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in residential construction management, ensuring homes are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Experience: 2–3 years in Single Family Residential Construction required
- Preferred: Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) experience.
- Local candidates: Brazoria County & Montgomery County
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of assigned home construction projects, ensuring compliance with building codes, Tricoast Homes’ quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Maintain schedules, budgets, and cycle times while meeting customer satisfaction goals.
- Conduct daily site walks and ensure homes are 100% complete by established orientation dates.
- Communicate weekly with sales teams on project status.
- Lead trade partners: review scopes of work, resolve conflicts, measure performance, and enforce quality standards.
- Monitor jobsite cleanliness, safety, erosion control, and overall community appearance.
- Review and address plan accuracy, material deliveries, and invoice/payment issues.
- Conduct quality control inspections and customer appointments, documenting all steps through completion.
- Maintain strong knowledge of codes, scopes of work, estimating, and construction techniques.
- Provide timely reporting, documentation, and updates to leadership.
- Uphold professionalism, ethics, and integrity while supporting the company culture and growth vision.
Requirements
- Experience: 2–3 years in Single Family Residential Construction required
- Education: Degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience preferred.
- Preferred Skills: TDI experience; strong organizational and communication skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. OHSH and CPR certifications are preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new systems. BuildPro experience is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, climb, and maneuver on construction sites; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
