IPS – RMB Products is seeking a Quotation Specialist who is responsible for supporting business development by preparing accurate, timely, and competitive quotes for existing and prospective customers within the aerospace and corrosion protection sector. This role focuses on maintaining strong relationships with customers while helping to identify opportunities to expand into new platforms and client segments. This position will coordinate across multiple internal departments-including engineering, procurement, and production planning-to gather the necessary information for quotes, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, cost structures, and delivery timelines. Direct communication with customers is required to clarify specifications, address inquiries, and ensure proposals meet scope, budget, and scheduling expectations.

Job Accountabilities: 

  • Review incoming RFQs/RFI from customers and potential customers and use to develop cost estimates and quotations. 
  • Develop full upfront definition and work to clarify the specific customer requirements of each project as the need arises during development. 
  • Utilize tools and templates to generate RFQ responses for review by Business Development Managers and/or senior leadership. 
  • Provide cost, price, scope and lead time information for review by internal stakeholders. Involve internal groups as necessary for input & project collaboration. Pricing data must support margin targets as identified by the executive team. 
  • Submit quote responses to customer inquiries via email, secure customer portal sites, and other means as needed. 
  • Review new contracts and purchase orders for commercial terms and conditions and technical requirements. 
  • Work with team to clear up any concerns with commercial or technical requirements discovered during review. 
  • Gain access to all customer portals to retrieve information and submit customer documentation. 
  •  Review, clean, and standardize existing data within the current system to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness. 
  • Identify and resolve duplicate, outdated, or erroneous records, collaborating with relevant departments to validate critical data elements, and adhering to data governance and formatting standards to support system integrations of department specific data
  • Support data input into CRM (customer relations management) software as directed. 
  • Maintain and update metrics (KPI’s) for sales and quotation activities. 
  • Support internal customers (engineering, operations, quality, shipping, etc.) to ensure successful completion of related project tasks and information flow. 
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned


Job Specifications: 


Education:  Bachelor’s degree in accounting and proven expertise in analyzing financial data and evaluating cost structures is preferred.

Years’ Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience

 

Skills: 

  • Inside sales and/or account management experience supporting several customers simultaneously in a technical market or field, with emphasis on the Aerospace and/or Corrosion Protection industries preferred. 
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment are required. 
  • Must maintain the confidentiality of all projects, customers, and RMB.
  • Strong computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products are required; advanced Microsoft Excel experience is a plus. 
  • Demonstrates a collaborative approach with strong interpersonal skills; actively solicits feedback, listens attentively, and effectively communicates recommendations with clarity and context. Ability to use data to make recommendations and decisions required. 
  • Requires both verbal and written communication skills in the English language. 
  • This role is on-site and requires 5+ days per week on-site.
