Description
As the largest and growing residential elevators manufacturer in North America, Residential Elevators is looking for a CAD Technician / CNC Router Programmer to join our team and continue leading the industry.
This position will be responsible for 3D modeling elevator components and programming CNC routers as well as other technical job functions.
The individual chosen for this position must show a strong aptitude toward process and product improvement. This position requires a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and execute.
Essential Functions
· Utilize Autodesk Inventor 2021 to 3D Model each custom elevator.
· Use Router CIM Automation to program each custom sized elevators, outputting the CNC code through use of the post-processor
· Assist in maintenance of the CNC router
· Knowledge/Ability to operate a CNC router
· Utilize Office Word to produce work orders that will have to be precisely laid out based on the setup of that job (dimensions, door stack/swing, rail system location, etc.).
· Create 2D drawings for various types of parts that need to be ordered for different projects/jobs.
· Calculate the structure capacity of each elevator based on options.

Requirements
Competencies
- Competent in CAD design and 3D modeling.
- Proficiency with Inventor or Solidworks
- MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work productively in an environment that doesn’t provide rigid boundaries and requires an ability to refocus / reprioritize with minimal advance notice.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex ideas in a nontechnical manner, actively listen to others and manage differing viewpoints so the final product remains true to the objective.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be able to generate 2D manufacturing drawings of existing parts
Must be able to Develop, Edit, and Maintain 3D Models using SolidWorks
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen
