Summary of Duties: The purpose of a Facilities Project Coordinator is to coordinate, plan, and organize facility projects, including new facilities and the maintenance and modernization of existing facilities; ensures projects are completed efficiently and within District standards, regulatory guidelines, budget, and projected timelines; liaison with various internal and external agencies and staff; and act as purchasing agent for the Maintenance Department. This job reports to the Maintenance Manager. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or equivalent, and either five (5) years of experience within a public or private agency in one of the following: construction, contract compliance, facilities maintenance, planning; or two (2) years of project leadership experience overseeing projects, tasks, or assignments within a public or private agency in one of the following: construction, contract compliance, facilities maintenance, planning. WORKING CONDITIONS: Indoor and outdoor work environment, constant interruptions.

SPECIAL INFORMATION: Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a drug test, TB test, and fingerprinting. The drug screen is paid for by the District. The candidate's portion of the fingerprint fee is $40.00. PROMOTIONAL AND OPEN TESTING – Open to employees of the District and the public with the selection process resulting in one (1) Eligibility List that will be used to fill current vacancies and any future vacancies that occur within one (1) year or until the list becomes exhausted. Current permanent employees of the District will be awarded seniority points as per the contract. All properly completed applications will be reviewed and the most highly qualified individuals will be invited to continue in the selection process. The process may consist of an evaluation and scoring of application materials, written testing, oral interview and/or performance test to evaluate the applicant’s skill, training and experience. Range 65: $35.22/hour- $38.87/hour. Advance step placement, up to step 3, may be considered based on previous experience and education. Current employees promotional rules apply.
