Senior Project Manager of Data Analytics – Federal Client
SUMMARY:
Concourse is seeking a senior-level Project Manager (PM) with a focus on managing data analytics across a federal program. The PM will support the development, collection, maintenance, review, and assessment of operational and programmatic data to support government decisions and transparently communicate operational performance. This includes performance data regarding the performance of the Client’s acquisition program portfolio, governance activities, and other measures of mission essential functions.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong data science experience and understanding regarding data collection, analysis and reporting methods and design.
- Strong project management skills in a data context.
- Ability to develop a cadence for data collection, aggregation, analysis, and reporting of findings.
- Ability to distill complex data analytics into easy-to-understand visualizations, briefings, and written reports.
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends and patterns in data, with the ability to organize and clean large data sets.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and conduct thorough research to resolve them effectively.
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
- Strong skills in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Visio, Power BI).
- Proficient in effective and professional communication, both written and verbal.
- Collaborates and works effectively with other team members and stakeholders to understand data needs.
- Organized thinker with strong attention to detail.
POTENTIAL TASKS:
- Work as part of a cross-functional team to ensure the smooth flow of data collection, analysis, aggregation of multiple source sets and communications and reporting produced from analyses.
- The PM will, based on stakeholder input, identify and plan the requirements for operational or acquisition program performance data analytics including the activities to be reported, methods and frequency of collection, and methods and frequency of reporting.
- Execute approved plans to regularly collect and report data. Data is required to be presented to the Government in professional, accurate, reliable, and easily digestible displays that include trend analysis, outliers, and other analyses to support the Government’s execution of its mission essential functions.
- Coordinate with Government stakeholders regularly to evaluate the effectiveness of operational and programmatic performance data analytics and provide recommendations that support informed decisions, effective operations, and cost efficiencies.
- Provide quality assurance and guidance on the development of data analysis documentation and reports, including methodologies.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a data-related discipline, mathematics, statistics, computer science, finance, economics, or other related major.
- This position is at the Senior level. Applicants should have 8-10 years of experience managing data analytics and data programs for the Federal government, either as a contractor or Federal staff.
- Proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Visio, Power BI), Adobe Pro.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Applicants with a Master’s degree are preferred
- Applicants with a PMP will be given preference
- Applicants with related experience for Departments such as Homeland Security, Justice, and/or Defense may also be given preference.
OTHER:
- Must hold a U.S. Citizenship
- Applicants local to the Washington, DC National Capital Region will be given preference
