Under limited supervision, responsible for assisting with the logistics of coordinating, planning, implementing and executing promotions, special events and committee meetings.
Responsibilities
- Plans and organizes strategic development events and fundraisers including galas, donor meetings, luncheons and receptions.
- Provides assistance with set up of facilities, equipment, supplies and prizes for assigned events.
- Collaborates with other staff on design and implementation of mobile apps/social media to promote event(s).
- Develops and designs invitations, creates guest lists, coordinates internal and external services and greets visitors.
- Maintains and coordinates registration to include registrant documentation.
- Assists with set up in management software and updates/maintains database as needed.
- Work closely with Director to build and maintain relationships with committee volunteers, corporate partners, foundations and vendors.
- Analyze, develop, and manage budgets and trending plans for annual donor, alumni and community relations events.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to develop, plan, execute, and manage donor related special events.
- Superior writing, editing and research skills.
- Maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface professionally with administration, faculty, students, alumni, volunteers and community. Skilled in fundraising and special events.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, establish and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Superior organizational and problem solving skills as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to engage donors, prospects and volunteers verbally and in writing with sincerity and enthusiasm.
- Ability to work in a communicative, interactive, and team-based setting and remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to work with multiple volunteer leaders in a demanding environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint and experience with Raiser’s Edge fundraising software.
Company
- Front-loaded Paid Time Off: 128 to 208 hours (16 to 26 days) of Paid Time Off based on years of service, given at the start of each fiscal year. PTO may be prorated in year one based on date of hire.
- Extended Illness Bank: 8 hours (1 day) accrued per month which can be used for illness or injury after one day of Paid Time Off is taken.
- Paid Family Leave: Up to 240 hours (6 weeks) to care for a spouse, child, or parent after 6 months of consecutive employment.
