God has called us to build up and protect the church, spreading his word. You can use your skills to help provide a safe sanctuary to the members and staff of SBC.

SBC’s main campus is in beautiful Scottsdale Arizona. Scottsdale is annually rated among the nation’s most desirable communities in which to live, visit, and conduct business. God has faithfully grown SBC from a humble beginning of 13 people in 1962 to more than 6500 meeting weekly on four campuses. With plans to start other multi-site campuses in the coming years, we continue to press forward to take the message of Jesus into our communities throughout the Valley!

As the Security Officer, you will report to the Central Security Director and are responsible to provide protection and safety to church employees, attendees, visitors and church facilities.
This position requires prior experience in law enforcement and/or military police.
Your Essential Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
- Patrol the premises, including parking area and all buildings
- Monitor cameras
- Greet and interact with those on campus with an eye for possible threats while exhibiting Christ-like qualities
- Respond to medical emergencies, providing initial first-aid and coordinate necessary emergency personnel
- Identify possible security/safety issues and bring to the attention of the Assistant Security Director
- Complete incident/accident reports as needed
- Promote goodwill and a positive image of Scottsdale Bible Church
- All other duties assigned
Skills you need to succeed:
Knowledge of:
- Safety & security systems, video cameras, radio systems, intrusion alarm systems, and complex safety & security programs
- Related maintenance and computer equipment
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)

Education and/or experience:
- 5+ years of experience in law enforcement or 4+ years of military service with military police experience/honorably discharged
- Ability to pass firearms qualifications (must complete within 6 months of date of hire)
- Knowledge of security practices/training in de-escalation procedures
- First Aid and CPR certification
This position requires in-office work and does not qualify for a remote arrangement.
Church Membership is required for most paid positions.
SBC does not participate in COBRA or Unemployment Insurance.
