Summary of Duties:
Establish, develop, and grow business relationships at assigned accounts, improving margin and customer satisfaction.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Contact and meet with clients and turn these into increased business.
- Identify potential new business opportunities and decision-makers within the client organization.
- Research and build relationships with new and existing large clients.
- Meet with client decision-makers and the company’s practice leaders/Principals.
- Plan approaches and pitches. * Work with the team to develop proposals that meet the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Participate in pricing the solution/service.
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion. * Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
- Present new products and services to enhance existing relationships and improve adoption.
- Work with technical staff and other colleagues to meet customer needs.
- Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
Management and Research
- Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
- Ensure data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM or other sales management system.
- Forecast sales targets and ensure the team meets them.
- Track and record account activity and help close deals to meet these targets.
- Work with CSMO and sales support staff to ensure that prerequisites (like pre-qualification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled on time.
- Ensure all team members represent the company in the best light.
- Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company’s people and capabilities.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- BA or BS degree
- Five years proven track record in business sales or related market
- Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal-setting
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical analysis software
- Superior presentation and written skills
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Technical skills required to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on client requirements
- Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical, to staff members and customers in a clear and concise manner
Experience with the following is a plus:
Knowledge of American Sign Language and Deaf Culture preferred
Physical Requirements:
Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods:
Sitting, standing and walking (95-100%)
Keyboarding (60-80%)
Viewing computer monitor, videophone, and pager requiring close vision (60-80%)
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a business office environment. Travel to company, customer, and vendor sites, including some out-of-state, will be required.
