Description
Responsibilities:
· Lead and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet organizational and programmatic goals. This includes overseeing Annual Appeal campaigns, expanding the base of annual individual donors, cultivating major donor relationships, and securing foundation, corporate, and event sponsorship support.
· Lead grant research, writing, and tracking to support both immediate funding needs and long-term agency growth, ensuring timely submission of proposals and reports.
· Partner with the President & CEO and the Marketing & Events Manager to effectively communicate the Agency’s mission and impact across all platforms—oral, print, and digital.
· Serve as a liaison to the Fund Development Committees of the Board of Directors. Assist in organizing, planning, and facilitating committee meetings. Provide support to the Associate Board of Young Professionals in coordinating events and engagement strategies.
· Oversee the planning, promotion, and execution of special events that support fundraising and donor cultivation, as well as enhance networking and visibility for the Agency.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise the Marketing & Events Manager, who is responsible for executing key aspects of branding, messaging, public awareness, special events operations, and both inbound and outbound communications.
Requirements
· Bachelor degree in Communication, English, Marketing, or related area; Masters a plus
· Five to ten years of professional experience in development and fundraising
· Ability to personally cultivate supporters and solicit contributions to achieve increased donor base and donations
· Ability to collaboratively prepare grant proposals, participate in Strategic Planning, and Department Budget preparation.
· Public speaking, strong interpersonal skills, ability to organize, lead and facilitate meetings, secure support for proposals and ideas, and perform successfully as a team member working in a collaborative style on shared goals.
Technology Tools & Skills
· Microsoft Office/Outlook 365, PowerPoint & Publisher
· Donor Database software (Bloomerang)
· Familiarity with Email/Social Media/Search Engine Marketing, Website/Marketing Analytics.
· Ability to collaborate with Marketing and critically utilize Marketing Analytics to support initiatives.
· Zoom and similar platforms

Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
