Overview:

This position can be filled in Houston, Dallas, or Austin. 

 

The Annual Giving Associate, Senior helps implement the Annual Giving fundraising program within the Development department. In conjunction with their supervisor, this position supports the execution of the department’s initiatives for the identification, cultivation and solicitation, of mid-level and annual gifts from a variety of sources through a range of platforms. This position prepares written materials for the department, including appeal letters, stewardship pieces, electronic solicitations, and other donor communications. Supports the organization’s strategic plan and workplace inclusion initiatives. Ensures productivity expectations, customer service, and compliance standards are maintained. Abides by the organization’s mission in performing job duties. Demonstrates an understanding and commitment to PPGT’s culture of quality, safety and risk awareness.

Responsibilities:

• Performs assigned mid-level and annual giving donor program activities in support of established organization fundraising goals.
• Prepares, drafts, and -edits communications for fundraising mailings including annual solicitations, direct mail, and other stewardship materials.
• Responds to donor inquiries as assigned and development communication including acknowledgement letters and stewardship per the organizations established practices.
• Supports the development database to update donor information, create donor acknowledgment letters and produce accurate, timely reports for use in fundraising analysis and donor mailings.
• Supports the corporate/work donation program under the direction of supervisor.
• Assists with development of digital content and communications for the Development Department including, but not limited to, 5 online giving days.
• Maintains current records in database and in paper files.
• May be responsible for other fundraising projects as needed.
• Assures compliance with the Board of Director’s governance policies on development as well as the standards established by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
• Assures that all fundraising materials and any communication with the public maintain the highest standards of integrity and honesty.
• Maintains knowledge of abortion and family planning regulations and implements changes as necessary.
• Embraces the organization’s ‘In This Together customer service standards and uses them with internal and external customers, every person, every time.
• Has restricted access to client private health information and has no reason to view protected health information (PHI). May have access to data that is not considered PHI, such as aggregate numbers.
• Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent + 3 years of related experience or Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of related experience.

 

Related experience: development, fundraising, or communications administrative experience. Development or Fundraising experience preferred.

Essential Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Must be able to work primarily with fingers such as picking, pinching, or typing. Must be able to communicate effectively. Will have substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Sedentary/Office environment.

Agency Standards:

Must have excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet.
