Position Summary: The Recruiter I is responsible for entry-level and internal recruiting and providing administrative support to the recruiting team.

In this Role:
- Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino Resort's "Unsurpassed Service" standards at all times.
- Maintain a detailed database of all Team Members in the department.
- Provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the Human Resources Office.
- Greet all Guests in a professional manner and interview candidates for open positions.
- Understand the entire employment process and all applicable employment laws and application of the Tribal Preference Policy.
- Verify eligibility for internal Team Member transfer applications.
- Track applicant status using Applicant Tracking System and update all information as necessary.
- Pre-screen internal and external candidates who meet the minimum qualifications.
- Schedule interviews for hiring managers.
- Build relationships with Managers and Directors and communicate daily with them regarding open positions and the status of internal and external applications.
- Advertise and promote job openings on various platforms such as internal and external career pages, social networks, and property communications.
- Attend Operations meetings and communicate employment-related information at these meetings.
- Job shadow in operational departments to get an understanding of what each position entails.
- Meet established recruiting metrics such as applications, interviews, offers, and other key performance indicators (KPI) and report weekly to the Recruiting Manager.
- Assist with job fairs and various recruiting events.
- Attend Huddles (pre-shift meetings) when possible.
- All other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- Must be 21+ years of age.
- Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
- Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources or recruiting OR Two (2) years of experience in a leadership role with Human Resources and Recruiting responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in written and verbal forms.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Proven ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
- Must be able to utilize critical-thinking skills to work independently and make decisions without direct supervision.
- Must demonstrate strong organizational skills; be detail-oriented, innovative, flexible, task-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced environment, under short time constraints, and within established guidelines.
- Intermediate knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Demonstrated experience with public speaking and presentation skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods while using a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
- Ability to access all properties and areas.
- Manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically in an office environment; however, additional work areas may be unusually hot, cold, and/or noisy and may contain second-hand smoke. Tasks may be performed from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of the assigned area. Work may entail constant contact with fellow Team Members, Management, Vendors, and Guests. High volume and fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
