POSITION SUMMARY
Actively pursue new business while building and enhancing relationships with assigned key accounts. Provide quality service and customer advocacy to achieve sales growth, customer satisfaction, and customer retention. Manage daily transactions for assigned key accounts, including quotations, orders, EDI workflow, product information updates, RMAs, issue resolution, and ongoing communications. Gather information on customers’ needs, plans, competitive offerings, and how Jessup products are used in application. Seek opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell Jessup products and services. Support outside Business Development Managers and back up other Key Account Representatives to ensure timely, accurate customer service for the entire customer base. Proactively identify opportunities for sales growth, new products, services, and process improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Contact key accounts regularly to obtain planned and new sales orders!!!
• Manage orders for assigned customers, including retrieve purchase orders from customer portals; review and release orders using EDI; enter standard, non-standard and custom orders into the Visual enterprise system; send order acknowledgements and shipping confirmations; and ensure that orders are booked promptly and accurately
. • Be available to back up the other members of the KAR team when needed. Having a general knowledge of all types of orders that may come about. • Enter POs for customer supplied materials. Follow up and track arrival times
. • Answer customer telephone and email inquiries from assigned key accounts and as needed for the Customer Relations department.
• Working with Estimator and Product Management, create and present quotations to customers and follow up on any open quotations in a timely manner to maximize sales.
• Document and resolve customer complaints according to the company processes for quality and returned goods authorization
. • Monitor order status of blanket orders to ensure timely and accurate releases/shipments. Work closely with accounting to handle pre-pay and credit hold orders
. • Manage customer accounts in CRM to ensure that all contact information, order specification, pricing discounts, and supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
• Handle customers expedite requests and communicate with Engineering/Operations and production to accommodate requests. Provide accurate information to customer regarding delivery options and availability of stocked items
. • Stay updated on late orders, using the reports provided. Inform the customers as soon as possible.
• Make outbound calls to key accounts to follow up on quotations, introduce new products and services, investigate growth opportunities, and create strong relationships.
• As directed by the Customer Service Manager, set up new customers in CRM database. Implement pricing, credit application, reseller tax forms, and other requirements to establish a new key account.
• Maintain key account information utilizing CRM.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in business related field or equivalent
. • Minimum 3-5 years experience in Customer Service or Sales. SKILLS • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially listening and persuasion.
