Total Rewards Administrator

Job Summary:

The Total Rewards Administrator is responsible for administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, wellness initiatives, and other employee perks. This role ensures compliance with federal and state regulations and provides support to employees regarding benefits-related inquiries. The role will have a Benefits focus, but will also assist with Compensation activities such as annual merit increase cycles, and the LTI and cash bonus programs. Compensation experience is a plus and not necessary, but the ideal candidate will have an appetite to grow in both areas.


Key Job Responsibilities:

Benefits (85%)

  • Administer employee benefits programs such as group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending plans, and retirement plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits questions, claims resolution, and plan details.
  • Coordinate and assist with benefits enrollment and open enrollment processes, including communication, documentation, and system updates.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee benefits records in HRIS and other systems.
  • Assist with compliance requirements with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA).
  • Collaborate with insurance brokers, vendors, and third-party administrators.
  • Conduct benefits orientations and training sessions for new hires and during open enrollment.
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and data analysis related to benefits programs.
  • Recommend improvements to benefits offerings based on employee feedback and market trends.

Compensation (15%)

  • Assist with job description reviews and job pricing
  • Assist with data audits and clean up
  • Assist with annual compensation cycles in Workday (merit, stock, bonus)
  • Work with HRIS team to setup and create job profiles and job families
  • Appetite to grow and take on more within compensation is a plus

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role.
  • Knowledge of benefits laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP).
  • Experience with benefits administration in a multi-state or large organization.
