Coloplast has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our growing team!
The Warehouse Supervisor will manage assigned staff to meet production, product quality, distribution, and safety requirements. They will ensure excellent distribution performance as measured by WFRL and drive continuous improvement activities in the warehouse. The supervisor will ensure all defined areas within the warehouse have adequate backup, coordinate all inbound/outbound warehouse activities, ensure compliance with the defined cycle counting program and maintain compliance with Hazardous Waste / Chemical handling procedures and OSHA Forklift training.
Major Areas of Accountability
- Deploy and manage direct supporting staff.
- Supervise all warehouse activities including finished goods distribution activities, receiving, raw material storage, and receiving returned product.
- Provide training for new hires and propose training as necessary for existing employees to ensure appropriate skill level is maintained and in compliance with applicable OSHA and DOT Hazardous Waste regulations.
- Ensure employee development and morale is a key focus.
- Develop, improve and implement warehouse processes.
- Optimize the storage space and material flow using warehousing practicing – proper warehouse space utilization and inventory management
- Address and resolve business system issues with IT as needed.
- Ensure adequate inventory levels of all packaging/shipping supplies.
- Have a working knowledge for shipping, receiving, and the materials roles within the department.
- Lead cycle count activities within the team, maintain cycle count accuracy reports. Communicate cycle count activities as requested by Finance team supporting periodic inventory audits.
- Ensure and control quality and performance of assigned area.
- Maintain accurate records to achieve and maintain a high level of inventory accuracy.
- Monitor costs and budget for warehouse needs.
- Perform other duties as requested.
