We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Banking Consulting Europe team, where you will have the opportunity to apply your technology knowledge, skills, and experience to work with next-generation Oracle Banking products. As a Senior Consultant, you will participate in Development, Implementation, or Managed Service activity streams, assisting with analysis, design, and implementation of solutions for various business requirements. You will work independently with some assistance and guidance to provide quality work products to project teams or customers, complying with Oracle methodologies and practices.
Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory:
- 6-8 years of experience in development and/or implementation and/or support of core banking applications.
- Experience in end-to-end Development and/or Implementation and/or Support activities covering expertise areas such as design of customizations, Coding, and Unit testing.
- Knowledge and skills in software programming in Core Java, J2EE, Microservices related technologies, Springboot, JavaScript, XML.
- Exposure to software deployment and troubleshooting on Application Server software, especially Oracle Weblogic.
- Working knowledge of Release management and Source control tools.
- Good client interaction skills, including presentation of solutions.
- Awareness of banking terminologies and concepts.
- Good skills on Microsoft Office, MS Excel, Powerpoint.
- Good communication & documentation skills in English.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
Good-to-Have: - Exposure to Banking Domain.
- Exposure to software development processes and practices, DevOps tools, Testing tools.
- Knowledge of Oracle OBIEE Reports, BIP, middleware such as Oracle Fusion SOA Suite.
- Awareness of latest technologies in Banking.
- Oracle Banking/FLEXCUBE Technical certifications in functional areas.
Responsibilities
- Participate as a Senior Technical team member in Development, Implementation, or Managed Service activity streams, such as Migration, Integration, Testing support, and coordination with other Oracle teams.
- Assist with analysis, design, and implementation of solutions for various business requirements.
- Develop programs as per specifications/requirements given by Oracle/Client within planned schedules.
- Use defined standards/tools/processes to achieve deliverables that meet quality expectations of Oracle/Client.
- Document all work in accordance with agreed standards/processes applicable for Oracle/Client.
- Adhere to defined Change Control Process of Oracle/Client and comply with Oracle/Client audit/Compliance requirements.
- Ensure quality code delivery and perform proper handover/knowledge transfer at the end of each assignment.
- Provide timely status reporting to supervisors and submit timesheets and expenses for Oracle/Clients.
