We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst with strong experience in life insurance systems (particularly wmA, GIAS, Horizon, eApp, and Resonant) to join our team. This role is responsible for production support, issue resolution, and functional testing for critical life insurance systems. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements, design improvements, and ensure system updates meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide production support for life insurance systems including wmA, GIAS, Horizon, eApp, and Resonant
Triage and respond to issues reported via shared mailboxes, ensuring proper assignment and resolution
Conduct system testing related to issue resolutions, enhancements, and release deployments
Analyze and document business requirements, processes, and workflows
Construct conceptual data and process models, including data dictionaries and volume estimates
Develop test plans, create test scenarios, and analyze testing results across project phases
Participate in the design and modification of systems to meet evolving client needs
Lead or assist in client meetings to gather requirements and evaluate potential solutions
Provide input into time and effort estimates for various project tasks
Participate in technical reviews to ensure changes meet business and technical expectations
Support coordination and delivery of tasks across business analyst teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience
6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the life insurance industry
Strong experience with life and annuity insurance systems
Familiarity with system development lifecycle and QA testing methodologies
Solid understanding of business process improvement and re-engineering principles
Hands-on experience with wmA/Vantage, CyberLife, or similar insurance platforms is highly desirable
Additional Skills
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to present findings clearly to business and technical audiences
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business tools
Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional teams.
Work Environment
Hybrid model: On-site presence based on project needs
Flexibility may be required to support critical deployments or production issues outside standard hours
