JOB SUMMARY: The Inside Sales Representative will provide and foster customer engagements, identify new opportunities, present company products and capabilities, engage with outside sales and sales representatives, and proactively cold call new and existing customers. The Inside Sales Representative will also evaluate/screen sales leads that may require follow up with the customer or handing off to the existing sales team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Review customer purchase history for business unit and small order tail accounts and engage customers on future needs and purchases. Generate new orders, understand and interpret technical requirements, provide technical information, and develop identified accounts.
- Coordinate with global sales for global / key accounts and distribution to support development of new orders.
- Assess product competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information, trends, and identifying sales opportunities.
- Evaluate and assess marketing and product management leads to determine lead quality and lead owner.
- Qualify leads for new accounts.
- Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, solicits new accounts, and builds rapport, provides technical information, and prepares quotations.
- Close new accounts by answering telephone, fax, and e-mail inquiries and verifying and entering information.
- Develop accounts by checking customer’s buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explains technical features.
- Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.
- Document contacts and actions in CRM and follows up in a timely manner.
- Provide accurate and timely responses to inquiries, questions, and customer escalations.
- Manage CRM pipeline
- Create and manage complex pricing proposals and strategies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience Years: 3-5 years
- Experience Type: Customer Service/Inside Sales/Sales & Marketing OR equivalent combination of education and experience
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); Web proficiency.
- Ability to read and interpret company manuals and customer requests or requirements
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and effectively speak to customers, vendors, and employees of the organization.
- Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Maintain status in CRM – CRM experience
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished orally, in writing, electronically, by diagram, or schedule form.
- Sales experience
