About the Job

This role is situated within our Real-Time Serving Team, which focuses on refining our real-time ads delivery capabilities to support large volume traffic. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies, this team develops low-latency, high-volume, secure, reliable, and scalable services using industry-leading software platforms. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and/or own one or more core real-time services utilized by other engineering departments within Infillion DSP and our clients directly.

What Great Looks Like

At 1 month:

• Onboarded smoothly, grasping the real-time bidding codebase through the onboarding process.
• Expanded knowledge beyond code to include deployment pipeline, regression testing, observability and system architecture.
• Built the development environment and fixed the first bug in the system.
• Set up the first alert in the system.

At 3 months:

• Completed SSP integration related development.
• Contributed to a new feature and gained autonomy in OpenRTB related domain.
• Actively reviewing peer’s pull requests.
• Experienced with on-prem on-call support..

At 6 months:

• Collaborated and represented the bidding team in SSP integration discussion.
• Engaged in Optimization development and support downstream improvement.
• Contributed to the cloud native improvement with technical insights.

At 1 year:

• Played a pivotal role in Optimization integration.
• Established as a Lead Engineer of SSP and OpenRTB.
• Established as an expert on CICD workflow.

You will:

• Design, develop, document, test, release, monitor, troubleshoot new and existing backend software systems and applications.
• Participate in the entire development lifecycle, including requirements analysis and design.
• Provide support for day-to-day operational work as needed, including (rotated) on-call support.
• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of products and infrastructure, becoming a subject matter expert.
• Mentor fellow software engineers.
• Provide valuable technical insight and feedback to peer’s system design.

You have:

• Strong computer science fundamentals.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or equivalent expertise.
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Golang.
• Ability to scale, troubleshoot, and rectify issues within applications and services.

Nice to have:

• Good working knowledge in Python, NoSQL Database (Cassandra, Aerospike, Redis) and Kafka, deployment tool ( Chef, Docker ).
• Previous development experience for Linux Servers.
• On-call Experience
• Prior experience as a Lead Engineer for AdTech, real-time low latency distributed system development

• Base salary of $82,000 CAD - $107,000 CAD plus bonus with first year on target earnings of $92,000 CAD - $120,000 CAD
