Description
Manages the Outpatient services and provides oversight of program development, staff training, and daily program operations. Responsible for the growth and development of Outpatient services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates and oversees all outpatient services
- Responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of annual program goals, objectives and budget.
- Responsible for day to day program operations and scheduling.
- Leads or co-leads psychotherapy groups.
- Reviews patient’s goals and progress to ensure program success.
- Works with patients and staff to keep patient attendance at a maximum.
- Helps market outpatient services to ensure the growth and sustainability of the programs.
- Consults with Social Services and UR to promote Outpatient program to all discharged acute patients.
- Responsible for scheduling and staffing to ensure that the department has the needed coverage and is within budgeted FTEs.
- Monitors staff performance and provides regular feedback on quality and quantity of work and on conduct.
- Ensures that staff has adequate training in program processes and procedures.
- Performs chart audits and ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with physicians, nursing staff and health professional affiliates in the community.
- Maintains knowledge of the developmental tasks and sociological theories of pertinent age groups.
- Stays abreast of organization's programs and services.
- Participates in activities which enhance professional growth and development
- Upholds the Organization's ethics and customer service standards.

Requirements
Knowledge and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in relevant field required
- Current State of Nevada Clinical licensure required
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in an Inpatient and/or Outpatient setting with two (2) of the years in Management
- All direct patient care staff will be trained in BLS (CPR), which must be renewed every 2 years.
- All staff, both clinical and non-clinical, will be trained in CPI as part of their orientation. All direct patient care staff will be retrained every year

- Proficiency with software and/or equipment (Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects, work relatively independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work with people with a variety of background and educational levels.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, this position is frequently required to do the following:
- Communicate effectively in person or via telephone in a manner which can be understood by those with whom the person is speaking, including a diverse population.

- Perform complex mental functions and basic arithmetic functions; interpret complex laws, regulations, and policies; collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information.

- Ability to stoop, lift, finger (pick, pinch or type and grasp)
- Drive, sit and/or stand for minimum periods of one hour or more at a time and come and go from the outside to inside areas repeatedly throughout the day.
- Frequently exposed to temperature changes due to environmental conditions as the work requires transferring from inside to outside temperatures.
- Frequently exposed to high outside heat temperatures.
- Lift up to 50 pounds, exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently.
