Position Overview
Seeking a professional Front Desk Administrative Support specialist. This role focuses on providing high-quality customer service and critical data entry for the Transition Assistance Program (TAP), Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC). You will serve as the first point of contact for service members and their families, ensuring they receive accurate information and administrative assistance during their military transitions.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service: Greet visitors, answer telephone calls, and refer patrons to appropriate staff or programs based on their needs.
Data Management: Perform extensive data entry into specialized systems, including AFFIRST and TAP ACCESS databases, to maintain accurate customer records.
Administrative Support: Prepare, edit, and proofread correspondence, memos, and reports using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Records Custodian: Serve as the primary record custodian, ensuring files are established, maintained, and disposed of according to Air Force regulations.
Qualifications
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Access, and Word) is required.
Communication: Strong ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using tact and courtesy.
Administrative Knowledge: Familiarity with clerical procedures, file maintenance, and correct grammar/punctuation.
Military Familiarity: Knowledge of Air Force terminology and programs is preferred.
Requirements
Must pass a background check to gain network access.
Must complete mandatory Operational Security (OPSEC) training within 30 days of hire.
Must comply with all base-specific regulations, including vehicle registration and safety protocols.
