PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The Shop Administrator supports daily operations within the 1915 South Distribution Center(s) by coordinating workflow processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring efficiency across administrative and production functions. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications to manage data collection, reporting, and profit process tracking.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Overseeing and conducting workflow processes to ensure production and administrative activities are completed efficiently and on schedule.
· Collecting, analyzing, and maintaining operational data related to materials, production, and profit processes for reporting and decision-making.
· Preparing and maintaining shop records, schedules, and correspondence in alignment with company policies.
· Identifying opportunities to streamline operations and assist with implementing solutions to improve productivity and accuracy.
· Serving as a liaison between management, warehouse personnel, and other departments to maintain clear communication and support company goals.
· Supporting the coordination and documentation of material usage and furniture construction components.
· Creating and distributing performance, profit, and workflow reports using Microsoft Excel and other software tools.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous administrative, logistics, or warehouse experience preferred; background in manufacturing or furniture distribution is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to analyze data and produce clear, actionable reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Detail-oriented and proactive in problem-solving.
- Understanding of materials, hardware, and furniture construction, preferred.
- May need equipment operation certifications.
