Primary Objective of Position: The Quality Audit Inspector is responsible for inspecting recreational vehicles at various stages of the manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with company standards, customer specifications, and applicable safety regulations through detailed inspections, function testing, and quality control processes. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, knowledge of RV components and systems, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections during the manufacturing process.
- Use control plans, documentation systems, and quality management software to record defects, inspection results, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and applicable industry codes (RVIA, CSA, NEC).
- Apply quality tools such as PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis) and Control Plans to identify, prevent, and mitigate quality issues.
- Lead or participate in A3 problem-solving activities to resolve complex quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate in internal audits with manufacturing, engineering, and service teams to investigate issues and provide feedback for root cause analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
- Regularly audit the manufacturing process, identifying and providing feedback on non-compliances and areas of improvement
Experience & Skills
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in RV manufacturing or automotive inspection, or quality assurance.
- Proficiency with PFMEA, Control Plans, and A3 problem-solving methodology.
- Working knowledge of RVIA,CSA and NEC codes, and safety/compliance standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
- Computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.
- Valid CDL Class A or B license preferred (or ability to obtain).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable working in enclosed areas, under vehicles, or at heights as needed.
- Capable of working in both indoor manufacturing settings and outdoor environments.
