The Senior Closing Manager is responsible for overseeing the closing and funding of commercial real estate debt and equity transactions from underwriting approval through final disbursement and recording. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders — including borrowers, lenders, title companies, legal counsel, and internal investment teams — to ensure seamless, timely, and compliant closings.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Transaction Management
- Lead and manage the closing process for commercial real estate transactions, ensuring all documentation, compliance requirements, and closing conditions are met.
- Prepare and review transaction closing checklists, coordinate signatures, and facilitate funding approvals.
- Maintain accurate records of all deal-related documents and correspondence within CRM or deal management platforms.
Legal & Compliance Coordination
- Collaborate with internal and external legal counsel to review loan agreements, purchase and sale contracts, title commitments, and related exhibits.
- Ensure compliance with internal investment policies and regulatory requirements; oversee all necessary filings, recordings, and post-closing deliverables.
Stakeholder Communication
- Act as the primary liaison between borrowers, developers, title/escrow agents, lenders, and internal investment or asset management teams throughout the closing process.
- Coordinate with capital partners and senior lenders to structure and execute intercreditor or consent agreements as needed.
Quality Control & Reporting
- Maintain transaction trackers and closing schedules to support accurate and timely reporting to management and investors.
- Assist with funding, disbursement, and post-closing audits to ensure complete documentation and compliance with internal controls.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in commercial real estate closing, structured finance, title/escrow, or PACE financing.
- Familiarity with loan documentation, closing processes, and multi-party transactions preferred.
- Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of commercial real estate finance and closing workflows.
- Knowledge of CPACE program requirements and documentation (preferred).
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional client-facing presence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, or similar CRM systems.
