About the Role
The Manufacturing Process Engineer plays a key role in optimizing manufacturing and warehouse operations through data-driven analysis, automation, and software solutions. This role involves developing and implementing digital tools, standard operating procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll collaborate across teams to enhance factory performance, integrate new technologies, and mentor junior engineers.
What You Will Do
Process & Systems Development
- Design and implement digital workflows and automation tools to improve warehouse processes
- Develop and maintain software-based SOPs and training materials for operational consistency
- Build flexible systems to support rapid product turnover and diverse manufacturing needs
Data Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Collect, analyze, and visualize production metrics (e.g., cycle time, yield) to identify improvement opportunities
- Set performance targets and monitor control limits using data dashboards
- Conduct root cause analysis using data mining and statistical tools
- Create and maintain Value Stream Maps and digital process models
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce bottlenecks
Factory & Technical Support
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-related factory interruptions
- Collaborate with factory leadership to ensure digital tools and equipment are optimized
- Document and escalate technical issues, proposing software or automation-based solutions
- Support the Process Excellence team in enhancing support systems and workflows
Layout & Workflow Optimization
- Use simulation and modeling tools to optimize equipment placement and space utilization
- Analyze warehouse workflows and propose digital enhancements for efficiency
Dashboard & Database Management
- Partner with Business Intelligence to automate data collection and visualization
- Develop and maintain dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or custom Python scripts
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, automation, or data analytics
- Familiarity with assembly automation and industrial software systems
- Understanding of ISO 9000 standards and quality frameworks
- Experience with Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in data analysis, querying raw datasets, and statistical modeling
- Experience with Python, SQL, Excel macros, and visualization tools
- Excellent communication skills and ability to simplify complex technical concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
