Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Ensure the safe efficient operation of the equipment. Includes but is not limited to tasks facility wide and may be required to fix any piece of equipment or facility infrastructure.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure the safe efficient operation of all plant equipment.
• Use tools and maintenance equipment properly
• Work on equipment safely using LOTO
• Troubleshoot motors, drives, electrical system problems
• Fabricate & repair parts using welding, cutting, & grinding tools.
• Perform PM on all machines following a written procedure
• Record work daily in the maintenance log.
• Basic understanding of facility systems. Plumbing, HVAC, etc.
• May include the operation of specialized / motorized equipment
• May require traveling to suppliers to pick up parts
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and abide by all safety policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all practices, policies and procedures according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14000
requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge in Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and Fabrication
• Must have good communication and collaborative skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interpersonal, problem solving and organization skills.
• High school degree or equivalent is required. Additional post-secondary education is preferred (i.e. Technical or Vocational Education)
