The Graphic Designer develops and creates visual concepts to effectively communicate ideas and information. They will work in-office, and closely with the Graphic Design Manager and project team. This position involves being able to determine the right message the design should portray, and its appeal to the end user. The Graphic Designer will develop visually engaging presentations, and other graphic materials to support storytelling and display technical information, with opportunities to assist in environmental design graphics as well.

Essential Functions

  • Develop creative presentation layouts based on knowledge of standard graphic design and layout principles.
  • Adhere to creative and IP guidelines of the project and be able to design around those restrictions. 
  • Make determinations on typography and visual relationships between illustrative and written elements to achieve clear composition. 
  • Understand how to develop and format graphics in required sizes and resolutions for both digital presentations and possible print applications.
  • Assemble final presentation decks and materials for internal and external delivery in the correct export formats.
  • Develop and execute visually compelling graphics that support themed environments, attractions, and guest experiences. 
  • Maneuver illustrative and 2D/3D model assets to be incorporated in the design of a presentation deck to enhance the creative intent.
  • Review and manipulate files received from clients, partners, consultants and/or vendors as well as upload and download files to various systems.
  • Contribute to development of signage and other environmental graphics as needed to support broader creative initiatives.
  • Prepare mockups and discuss intent with the Graphic Design Manager and project team and make necessary changes.
  • Stay current on design trends, techniques to bring fresh perspective to their work.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent professional experience, with 3–4 years of experience in a non-marketing graphic design role.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with emphasis on InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.  
  • Ability to work across multiple programs and apply creative solutions consistently across platforms. 
  • Knowledge of layout design principles, tools, and techniques used in the creation of presentation materials.
  • Knowledge of, or strong interest in, immersive experience design and the themed entertainment industry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and tasks.
  • Ability to think visually, solve complex problems, make judgments, decisions and think logically and critically.
  • Excellent organizational skills and be able to comply with established standards for file naming conventions and file folder structure for assets. 
  • Must have or be able to quickly acquire knowledge of company structure (mission, goals, and objectives), and policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America.
  • Will not require Falcon’s Treehouse, LLC to commence (“sponsor”) an immigration case in order to be employed (now or in the future).

 

This at-will, in-office position is being hired to support a specific client project. While this role is a full-time position with Falcon's Creative Group, employment will not extend beyond the duration of the project. The assignment will conclude once the project is completed, at which time employment with Falcon's Creative Group will end. The expected project timeline is to be determined. For avoidance of doubt, employment with Falcon’s would be at-will at all times, meaning that the employee or Falcon’s may terminate the employment at any time (including prior to the conclusion of the project).
