Position Overview

The Gardner School of Central Park is seeking a warm, engaging, and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to guide a classroom of young learners. You will help create a space where children feel safe, supported, and inspired every day. As a leader in the classroom, you will model curiosity, connection, and a commitment to making a positive impact on each child and family you support.

Qualifications

  • Lead Teacher / ECT qualification under Colorado Department of Early Childhood requirements

  • 2+ years of early childhood education experience (lead or co-lead experience preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field preferred; Associate degree or CDA required

  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

  • Understanding of early learning best practices and child development

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a positive, professional approach

  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. (Required)

  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Skills & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to foster an engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environment

  • Effective at adapting instruction to meet individual learning needs

  • Active engagement throughout the day including standing, sitting on the floor, bending, and lifting up to ~60 lbs

  • Ability to fulfill cognitive and interpersonal aspects of classroom leadership including speaking, hearing, reading, writing, focusing attention, and building relationships
