The HLT Repair Technician is responsible for performing repairs, refurbishments, calibrations, and testing of Enerpac Heavy Lifting Technology (HLT) products and systems, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. This position combines strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with product knowledge to support internal repair operations and provide occasional on-site technical support or commissioning assistance.

The HLT Repair Technician ensures the readiness and reliability of HLT equipment by executing repair processes, maintaining accurate documentation, and coordinating closely with Aftermarket Support and Field Service teams.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, evenings and weekends may be required

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and refurbish Enerpac Heavy Lifting Technology systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical components.
• Conduct testing, calibration, and certification of HLT tools and systems per OEM standards.
• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.
• Perform assembly and disassembly of mechanical systems for inspection, repair, and testing.
• Support aftermarket service initiatives by ensuring repaired equipment meets quality and performance standards.
• Maintain detailed service records, calibration logs, and test documentation.
• Support customer equipment refurbishment programs by following repair procedures and providing feedback for process improvements.
• Collaborate with Field Service and Aftermarket Support teams to resolve technical issues and improve service response.
• Operate and maintain lifting, rigging, and hydraulic test systems safely in accordance with company procedures.
• Manage repair part inventory, initiate purchase requisitions, and ensure adequate stock levels of key components.
• Participate in continuous improvement, 5S, and safety initiatives within the shop.
• Adhere to all company safety, environmental, and quality policies.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong technical aptitude in hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical assembly.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to use precision measuring and diagnostic tools.
• Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple repair tasks with high attention to quality and safety.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED). Work experience will be considered in lieu of education. Technical/trade school degree preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial equipment repair, preferably hydraulic or heavy lifting systems.
• Certification in hydraulic system troubleshooting, electrical repair, or calibration preferred.
• Forklift certification is preferred
• TWIC card preferred; eligibility to obtain a TWIC card is required
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass site specific background/drug tests.
• Valid Driver’s license required

Physical Demands

Employee may have to lift documents/work materials up to 30 pounds in weight. Employee may have to lift tools up to 100 pounds in weight. Employee will have to be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, this can include occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like. Employee may move themselves in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. Employee will need to move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another. Employee will need to operate machinery and/or power tools, motor vehicles, and heavy equipment. Employee will need to listen, understand, and speak with team members in person, telephonically, and electronically at all levels within a diverse workforce and with supported organizations. Employee will need to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned. Employee can work in front of a personal computer and telephone for long periods of time. Will have repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Employee’s work is a typical warehouse environment which is subject to loud noise, various temperatures, outdoor elements (such as precipitation and wind), poor ventilation, small and/or enclosed spaces, and workplace hazards. Employee may also be visiting different customers where following appropriate safety protocols at the location would be required. Basic PPE is required during work hours: safety glasses, gloves, and steel toe boots.
