Management Level:

SUMMARY:

The Sr Supervisor Grain Elevator position is responsible for supervising all aspects of a grain elevator facility, including:

• Directing all work functions and staff in operations
• Training and safety
• Overseeing and directing facility housekeeping
• Ensuring regulatory and company policy compliance
• Driving best practices
• Managing and overseeing grain inventories, grading processes, and monitoring grain quality
• Managing and overseeing operational expenses and budgets
• Staffing, training, and developing team members for the facility
• Managing and developing customer relations and service as it relates to the facility
• Purchasing grain and promoting Tyson LGS as required

REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications: Knowledge and techniques normally acquired through four years of college leading to a Bachelor s degree or equivalent. Preference given to educational background in Ag Business Ag Economics Production Agriculture Grain Sciences or Agricultural Engineering or related degrees.

Experience: 2 plus years related experience;  4 plus years industry or people leadership experience required in the absence of a degree.

Computer Skills:  Basic computer skills required to include proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Outlook PowerPoint Word Excel and Access ; knowledge of purchasing programs such as SAP Agris Endur or related software preferred; knowledge of grain grading equipment dryer controls and electrical control systems preferred

Communication Skills:  Excellent verbal written and negotiation skills required.

Special Skills:  Working with numbers problem solving ability to prioritize and multi-task analytical skills.

Supervisory:  This role will have direct reports on-site including administrative and grain operations personnel.

Travel: 1-4 Trips per year outside local area. Moderate local travel including day trips several times per month.
