How You Will Make Contributions That Matter

  • Drive Food Safety and Quality across all Saputo Cheese US facilities by working with Corporate Quality, Plant Quality, Operations, Sales, customers and suppliers.
  • Directly manage, support and develop the Regional Quality Assurance Managers.
  • Responsible for supporting plants (location(s) to be determined) in the area of Quality Assurance and Food Safety.
  • Provide leadership, direction and guidance to Regional Quality Assurance Managers and plant personnel by understanding regulatory, customer and internal Saputo Quality and Food Safety requirements.
  • Develop and update policy. Work closely with Regional QA Managers and Food Safety Manager to implement and standardize these policies.
  • Work with plants to identify gaps and implement solid solutions.
  • Assess significant Quality and Food Safety situations and make sound recommendations regarding disposition of product and future preventative measures.
  • Create and standardize Quality Assurance requirements, documentation and execution of plant processes.
  • Lead cross functional Quality Assurance teams and efforts.
  • Follow regulatory changes and develop or modify policies as needed to insure compliance.
  • Support specified customer and supplier initiatives in conjunction with Sales, Operations and other functions as appropriate.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following experience, skills, and qualifications,

  • Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, Food Science or related field.  Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in quality and food safety in the dairy industry.
  • Experience with cheese and/or dairy powders.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements (i.e. FDA, USDA, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of plant QA systems (i.e. HACCP, Environmental Pathogen Monitoring, Pest Control, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and provide solutions.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all levels of employees as well as internal and external customers.
  • Ability to influence and drive positive change.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with good time management.
  • Ability to travel frequently (50%) with overnight stays.
  • Must possess strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.

Range Salary: $130,000 - $180,000.

Salary offer will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills and trainings.
