About the Role

As a key member of the accounting and finance team, you will be responsible for managing and executing financial transactions and reconciliations related to payroll, employee benefits, and treasury operations. This role requires precision, confidentiality, and a strong command of payroll systems, banking platforms, and ERP technologies. You will ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, benefit administration, and compliance with regulatory requirements, while maintaining organized digital records and supporting internal and external audits. Additionally, you’ll contribute to financial reporting and process improvements, helping to strengthen internal controls and drive operational efficiency.

  • Prepare and record financial transactions and reconciliations related to payroll, employee benefits, and treasury operations. Serve as a subject matter expert in relevant systems and technologies.
  • Process payroll, perform reconciliations, and submit filings in accordance with strict deadlines. Ensure all payroll changes are properly documented, and employee withholdings are accurately and promptly remitted to the appropriate agencies.
  • Administer the company’s Section 125 benefit plan, including financial transactions, reconciliations, and compliance with all filing requirements.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and record cash applications in the company’s financial system.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and analysis for payroll, benefits, and treasury-related activities.
  • Assist in administering the company’s 401(k) plan, including financial transactions, reconciliations, and compliance with filing requirements.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient digital filing system for all financial records.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, FASB) and internal control procedures. Contribute to process and technology enhancements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for auditor inquiries related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Perform additional general accounting duties as needed to support the team.

Qualifications


About You

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4+ years of professional experience in accounting or finance
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems, preferably in a construction or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with payroll processing systems and banking/treasury management platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Thorough understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Sage 100 ERP
  • Experience with Paycom HRIS
  • Experience with Wells Fargo CEO online banking platform
